My New Year's was so boring. It's like who cares, it's New Years every year.   But my Christmas break was much more weirder

I stayed in bed the whole time and watched 30 rock episodes and Idiocracy like ten times each.  How sad am I.

It's like the one day I managed to shower and get out of bed at a decent hour, I decided to go to the ROM somehow innocently thinking that it would be this beautiful desolete barren space crying out to me to be explored.  I even toyed with the idea of buying a membership and becoming like that person who goes to museums regularly, and like leaves the house and  combs their hair and stuff. 

Little did I realize that the entire world has the week off and has decided to indulge their inner culturati  at the local museum.  Seriously, the line up was around the block, plus it snowed, plus I had to stand underneth the spot where the two angles of the crystal sculpture meet, then all this snow and ice that accumlates on the tip of the crystal fell on me just as I have this really pleasant conversation with a grandma from North Bay.  At that point I went to the mall and saw no country for old men.

A lot of people have been asking for pictures of my house, which as some of you know I spent the entire summer renovating (not me personally but this wicked contractor named Bert and his brother Ray).  Here's the truth, I been kinda lazy in decorating it and buying furniture and generally making it look pretty.  I finally got sick of living like a squatter around October and bought some curtains and candle sticks so class up the joint.  Here's my ridiculously long dining table where I eat dinner alone and then compose genius-level facebook wall posts by candle light.

My sister came down from St. John's to keep me sane.  I took this creepy stalkerish picture of her taking a nap.

We went to tea at Sonia's house. I seriously need more grown up tea parties in my life.

I should mention the view wasn't bad either.

Nidz is leaving me and going away to Pakistan! I have totally made her promise not to stick her head out of SUVs and hang out at political rallies and whatnot.

Meet my new friends Ernest and Amar!  They're perfect company for spending hours at the Indian buffet and talking smack about fellow pretentious buffet eaters.  Plus, since Ernest grew up in Singapore, he's knows the best stupid old school racist jokes about Indians. (what do you call a Sikh who likes to take long baths? Kool dip Singh).

He's also handy when it comes to sneaking out of work for like 2 hour lunches to Chinatown.

Ritu's fine as ever.  Throwing fantastic shingdings that run from night to morning, constantly bugging me to find a real boyfriend and standing in the way of cakes.

Ken and Adam took me to East and then to see Juno, which was hilarious. Almost as hilarious as when I give a framed copy of this photo to them on their wedding day.

Ken is taking up Parkour but has only gone to one lesson since he had a car accident on the way, he said the most tramatic moment of the accident was when he had to stand outside his flipped out car and realized he had committed a fashion faux-pas of wearing beige and black together.

Hahaha... Oh my god Hardika, this blog made me laugh so much. I wish Facebook alerted me more every time you wrote a new blog.

Oh and you should totally get a membership to the ROM! Since you get to take a guest with you for free every time you go, you could like, you know... bring that guy you like.

hahaha, "that guy" already has a membership, and it's not the case of me buying one so i can pretend to bump into him and we can chat and find we have oh so many things in common and memberships to all the same cultural institutions ....that's like totally not my plan at all.
